DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrive Saigon
Upon your arrival, our guide will meet you at the airport and accompany you to your hotel.
Overnight in. Saigon
Day 2: Saigon (B)
We start our day with a cyclo tour to see some of the city’s attractions. The cyclo drivers will take us to the War Remnants Museum, the Reunification Palace, and the former American Embassy (now the American Consulate in Saigon. We will also visit the Notre Dame Cathedral, the City General Post Office as well as Dong Khoi Street where the City Opera House is located. Our morning will be followed by a quick and delicious lunch at the “Presidential” Pho 2000.
After lunch we will take a bus trip to Cu Chi Tunnels, a Viet Cong Stronghold during the American War between 1965 and 1975. First constructed in 1948, during the French Resistance War, the tunnels were expanded by the Viet Cong, with the help of the local people, into a complex underground network stretching over 250 km. A visit to this place will offer us an insight into the war when Vietnamese determination and loyalty to their country overcame the hardships of the times and eventually brought the war to an end.

Day 3: Saigon - Mekong Delta (B)
The Mekong Delta is the southernmost region of Vietnam and is sometimes referred to as the rice bowl of Vietnam producing three harvests per year. The fertile Delta is also famed for its tropical fruits and flowers. We set off in the morning. After two hour drive, we arrive in Cai Be. We will then embark on a boat trip visiting the famous local floating market. An interesting stop will be made at the local cottage industry where we see the local making coconut candy and pop rice.
We continue our exploration by taking the sampan boat through the lush green vegetation of the canals to an orchard where we are treated to a delicious lunch. We end up our adventure with a short visit to a bonsai garden and here we try some exotic fruits of the region. Return to the docks and drive toward Can Tho, the heart of Mekong Delta for the night. Overnight in Can Tho.
Day 4: Mekong Delta - Saigon - Hue (B)
Rising to the sound of the Mekong River, we enjoy breakfast at our hotel before an early check- out. We get to the nearby docks where we take a short boat trip to visit Cai Rang floating market. Following this we will wind our way the town of My Tho to visit the Vinh Trang Pagoda. Stop en route to have lunch and continue to drive back to Saigon for a two hour flight to Hue. Meet our tour guide and transfer to hotel. Overnight in Hue.
Day 5: Hue (B)
We start our day by a guided tour Hue’s Imperial City containing the Citadel and the Forbidden Purple City, the Imperial Museum and the Dong Ba market. The Citadel was closely modeled along the lines of the Forbidden City in Beijing. Much was damaged during the last two wars. We follow this tour of the Emperor's residence with short drive into the surrounding countryside to see the impressive King Minh Mang's tomb & King Tu Duc tomb, the final resting place of the Emperors. Stop at a handicraft workshop to learn about the makings of incent sticks and conical hats. In the afternoon, we enjoy a relaxing cruise on the Perfume River. We disembark our boat to visit the Holy Thien Mu Pagoda. Return to our hotel. Tonight we will be treated by a fun royal banquet.

Day 6: Hue & Hoi An (B)
Set off in the morning, we will drive south to the old merchant town Hoian. After five-hour route, hugging the coastline along the South China Sea and climbing the spectacular Hai Van Pass (“Pass of the Clouds”), we arrive in Hoi An. From the 16th to 18th centuries, Hogan was a thriving international commercial port. Today it is a quaint riverside town popular with tourists for its eclectic architecture, tailor shops, and cafes. Upon arrival, we check into our hotel. It is follows by lunch and a half-day walking tour through the narrow winding streets of the Ancient Quarter visiting Chua Ong Pagoda, Assembly Hall, the 200-year-old Tam Ky house, and the Japanese Covered Bridge. The remainder of the day is free at leisure.
Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 7: Hoi An Ancient town (B)
The whole day is free for shopping or relaxing. Visit the local markets or see the tailor shops for a new wardrobe. You also can reach Cua Dai beach by a fun bycle ride for fun swimming.
Overnight in Hoian.
Day 8: Hoi An - Da Nang - Hanoi (B)
Free morning in Hoi An until check out time. In the afternoon we will be transferred to Da Nang for a short flight to Hanoi. On arrival, we will be met accompanied by Travels To Vietnam tour guide to our hotel. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 9: Hanoi City tour (B)
In the morning we visit the Ho Chi Minh Complex including the One Pillar Pagoda, the former leader’s house on stilts and his Mausoleum. This is followed by the Temple of Literature, site of Vietnam’s oldest university and the impressive Museum of Ethnology. We take lunch at a local restaurant to sample some exotic Hanoi cuisine. The afternoon will be filled with to Ngoc Son Temple and the Hoa Lu Prison – originally built by the French and now a museum and better known to many as the ‘Hanoi Hilton’ where several prominent American pilots were interred including former US Presidential candidate John McCain. In the evening we watch a performance of the renowned Water Puppet Theatre and a fun cyclo ride through Hanoi’s Old Quarter before returning to our hotel.

Day 10: Halong Bay Excursion (B/L)
Departing Hanoi we have a three hour drive through the picturesque countryside and short break in Hai Duong city. Arrive in Halong at around mid-day. Once we have settled in, we can begin our cruise around majestic Ha Long Bay. We disembark our boat and enjoy a guided tour to Thien Cung Cave. Return to our boat for a scrumptious seafood lunch. In the afternoon, we continue the boat trip to enjoy the extremely beautiful scenery on Ha Long bay. We will cruise through a floating fisherman village to learn more about their floating life. After five hour navigation, we will sail back to harbor and rejoin car back to our hotel in Hanoi. Tonight we will have a fare-well dinner in a Vietnamese restaurant.

Day 11: Departure (B)
Free day for relaxing and final shopping until transfer to Hanoi airport for your flight home.
